About DDD Ventures
DDD Ventures is a UK advisory firm with global experience. We provide non-executive leadership and hands-on support to founders and boards across the full lifecycle of a business, from growth and value creation through to raising capital and, when the time is right, a sale.
Our approach is deliberately selective. We take on a small number of engagements so that each receives genuine senior attention rather than being delegated down. In practice that means working as part of the team, being straight about what we see, and staying focused on the commercial outcome.
Much of our work sits in the energy, utility, technology and industrial sectors, where we have built, backed and grown companies at first hand, in a portfolio that has driven more than £400m of successful exits. The common thread is a business with real potential and a leadership team ready to move it forward.
DDD Ventures also incubates new ventures of its own, applying the same discipline we bring to client work to businesses we build from the ground up.
Founder
Mark Dickinson
Mark Dickinson is the founder and principal of DDD Ventures. An entrepreneur with a portfolio of companies, he works as a chair, non-executive director and adviser to businesses he backs and to clients who engage DDD Ventures.
His work spans finding and building new businesses, helping the companies in his portfolio raise money and grow, and leading sell-side M&A processes on their behalf.
Day to day that translates into practical, senior support: investor and sales narratives, proposals and commercial agreements, operating processes, performance dashboards, and the board-level judgement that helps a company decide what to do next.
